If a tooth is lost, it can be replaced by a dental implant. Implants manufactured from biocompatible titanium assume the function of the root; they are tightly and permanently anchored into the jawbone. An abutment is mounted onto the implant, which serves as the basis for the artificial crown.

Dental implants are a good treatment option if individual teeth are lost, for example: At the moment, they are the best solution from both an aesthetic and a functional perspective. Another advantage: Unlike with bridges, it is not necessary to mill off any healthy tooth substance of neighbouring teeth when inserting tooth implants.

However, implantology uses implants for other purposes as well, such as for providing bridges and dentures with grip.

The experience of the dentist and use of modern technology are crucial factors that determine whether implant treatments are successful.

Our practice employs dentists with long-standing experience in implantology, who additionally completed specialist training at an expert association or obtained an additional university degree (Master of Science Oral Surgery/Implantology). During implant treatments, they are supported by an equally professional and well-oiled team.

We can use state-of-the-art X-ray diagnostic measures if the situation of the jaw is complicated or unclear: Digital volume tomography (abbreviated as DVT) creates 3-dimensional X-ray images that offer the dentist a unique insight into the jaw structures (exact location and shape of the bone, nerves, and maxillary sinuses). This allows optimum planning regarding the placing of implants, thus lowering the risk of complications.

These 3D diagnostic possibilities offered by our practice also bestow upon our patients a greater peace of mind during serious cases or issues.
